PFA Film provides the highest continuous use temperature of any melt-processable fluoropolymer film at 260°C (500°F). PFA film offers many of the performance properties of PTFE in a clear, transparent form and can be heat sealed, thermoformed, welded, metalized, or laminated to a wide variety of materials.
We offer two different options for PFA film:
Material | Use Temperature | Tensile Strength | Elongation | Modulus | Tear Resistance | Density | Coeff. of Friction | Chemical Resistance | Abrasion Resistance | Light Transparency |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
PFA | 260°C | Good | Good | Good | Good | High | Best | Best | Good | Best |
FEP | 205°C | Good | Good | Good | Good | High | Best | Best | Good | Best |
ECTFE | 170°C | Best | Better | Best | Better | Lowest | Better | Better | Best | Good |
ETFE | 165°C | Better | Good | Better | Better | Lower | Better | Good | Better | Best |
PFA-PG, general purpose film, offers a combination of excellent dielectric properties across a wide temperature and frequency range, the highest level of chemical and stress crack resistance, excellent clarity, and weatherability. The chemical resistance of PFA provides excellent tank-lining performance.
