PFA fluoropolymer film is manufactured from perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) polymer resin. This film offers the highest continuous use temperature 260°C (500°F) of any melt-processable fluoropolymer film, PFA film offers many of the performance properties ofPTFE in a clear, transparent form and can be heat sealed, thermoformed,welded, metalized, or laminated to a wide variety of materials. PFA Film has excellent dielectric properties across a wide temperature and frequency range.
FEP fluoropolymer film is manufactured from fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) resin. FEP film is resistant to chemical and thermal degradation allowing it to withstand aggressive environments, making it an excellent candidate for diaphragms, gaskets, protective linings, sample bags, and containers. Fabricated shapes and contours can be produced via heat sealing and thermoforming. The outstanding weatherability and optical properties of FEP film provide excellent performance in environmental growth chambers and solar collectors.
ETFE fluoropolymer film is manufactured from a copolymer of ethylene and tetrafluoroethylene resin. This material offers the outstanding performance of fluoropolymer film over a temperature range from cryogenic to 165°C (330°F). The resistance to chemicals and weathering, low flammability, and stress crack resistance make this film an excellent candidate for a wide variety of applications.
ECTFE fluoropolymer film is manufactured from ethylene-chlorotrifluoroethylene resin. This material offers the outstanding performance of fluoropolymer film over a temperature range from cryogenic -200°C (-328°F) to 165°C (330°F). Saint-Gobain's ECTFE film provides the highest abrasion resistance of any fluoropolymer film available. This film has superior chemical resistance and very high tensile strength and flexural modulus.
